07 Oct 12 Onda V801 Quick Impressions

Just received this tablet 10.4,  ordered from First off, the shipping package is awesome-lots of cushioning around the box itself, very secure. Was shipped 9.24, arrived 10.4, not bad.

Don’t have a lot of time today to test it out, but wanted to write down first impressions. I like the 8″ size, it fits nice in hand. Weight is very light, build quality appears very good. Came with a peel-off screen protection, which I am leaving on for now.

01 Oct 12 Ainol Crystal 7″ Tablet Available for Presell

A little searching on the web will get you to sites offering the Ainol Crystal tablet at a preorder price of around $150USD shipped. What does that amount of cash get you?  A seven-inch, 5-point touch screen, to start.  Basically it is an updated Novo7.

25 Sep 12 Onda V801, V802 8″ Tablets

Onda has recently released a pair of budget 8″ tablets, both powered by an Amlogic AML8726-MX, 1.5 GHz Cortex A9 dual core processor.  The pair are almost identical, except for a couple of differences.  The V801 has no rear camera, but internal storage is 16GB.  The V802 does have a rear 2MP camera, but only 8GB storage.  So you can choose which features are more important to you when deciding what version to buy.
